Collect Flow

UPI Collect is a feature within the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system that allows individuals, businesses, and organizations to request payments from others. It enables merchants to generate payment requests dynamically, which can be sent to customers for making payments. UPI Collect simplifies the payment process by providing a convenient way for businesses to receive payments from their customers without the need for traditional methods like cash or card transactions.

  1. Customers initiate the process by entering their UPI ID/VPA.
  2. The entered ID undergoes validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  3. A collect notification is dispatched to the customer's PSP app, prompting them to complete the payment.
  4. Customers, upon receiving the notification, proceed to finalize the payment.
  5. To finalize the transaction, customers enter their 4-digit UPI PIN associated with the selected app.
  6. The customers must accept the request they receive on their UPI app to make the payment successfully.
